In the words of our perfumers and experts in olfactory creations, the olfactory trends for 2020 have been defined along two lines: the Pantone of the year and the fashion and beauty sector.
Pantone of 2020’s
For 20 years, Pantone’s colour of the year has been setting trends in different sectors. It has even influenced product development, industrial design, the packaging industry, graphic design and interior design.
The colour chosen for this year is 19-4052 Classic Blue, defined by Pantone as:
A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, that encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone Color Institute.
At beAromic we have worked on our olfactory proposals based on this line of visual work. The classic blue colour inspires us with peace, relaxation and freshness, as it is the colour of the sky and the sea. In the olfactory sense, the colour blue reminds us of marine and ozonic notes.
Fashion and beauty
Fashion is a sector marked by colour trends. In this line, for this year 2020 will highlight the concepts of the flash and glitter. From beAromic we have worked on oriental woody and floral proposals.
Scent marketing trends 2020
Below we share two olfactory proposals in coherence with the trends of this 2020:
- Brillant infini: a fresh fragrance of bergamot, lemon and grapefruit. With a touch of aldehyde and green leaves. They combine the flowers of rose, thrush, iris and gardenia. And they end with a woody, musky background with a sweet touch of vanilla and powdery.
- Modern galaxy: a fresh bergamot fragrance with touches of green and spice. They combine flowers like jasmine, osmanthus and pink flowers. With a background of amber with cedar woods, vetiver and leather, with a touch of sweetness and tobacco.
But trends have to be applied logically, so remember, not all fragrances will reflect your brand well. For this reason, it is necessary to leave the olfactory strategy in the good hands, those of an expert who will take into account your brand values and market trends.
